Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Opslum, Inc. ("Opslum", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the opslumFLOW Agent mobile application (the "App") and the Opslum operations platform (together, the "Services").
The App is a workforce operations tool provided to employees and staff of organizations that subscribe to Opslum (each, an "Organization"). When you use the App as a member of an Organization, that Organization is the controller of your data and Opslum acts as a service provider/processor on its behalf. Your Organization's own policies may also apply.
1. Information We Collect
Information you or your Organization provide
- Account details — the username/email, display name, role, and password created for you by your Organization's administrator.
- Profile information — optional profile photo and contact details.
- Messages and task content — chat messages, task updates, notes, and any photos you submit while completing work.
- Support communications — information you send us when you request help.
Information collected automatically
- Location data (precise) — while you are on duty, the App shares your device location with your Organization's dispatch/operations team. With your permission, this includes background location so your position stays current when the App is not on screen. See "Location Data" below.
- Device and usage data — device model, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic/crash data used to keep the App reliable.
- Push notification token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging identifier used to deliver task and message notifications.
- Activity data — coarse motion/activity signals used to optimize location accuracy and battery use.
2. How We Use Information
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Show your position on your facility/operations map and route you to assigned tasks.
- Enable real-time coordination, messaging, and task management between you and your Organization's dispatch team.
- Send operational push notifications (new tasks, messages, alerts).
- Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
3. Location Data
Location is core to the App's purpose: it lets your operations team see staff positions in real time and assign nearby work. You control location access through your device settings and may grant "While Using the App" or "Always" access. Granting "Always" (background) access allows your position to update for dispatch even when the App is in the background while you are on shift. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; doing so may limit features such as live positioning and routing. Location is shared with your Organization and is not sold or shared for advertising.
4. How Information Is Shared
- With your Organization — your administrators and authorized dispatch/operations users can see your account, location while on duty, messages, and task activity.
- Service providers — we use trusted vendors to run the Services, including cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services), push notifications and messaging (Google Firebase), and payment processing for Organizations (Stripe). These providers process data only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services to your Organization, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period unless a longer retention is required by law. Your Organization may request export or deletion of its data.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secured cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Control location, notifications, and camera access from your device settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us or your Organization's administrator.
- Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights such as access, portability, and the right to object. California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is an employment tool intended for adults in a workplace setting and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
